What is Ecotherapy?

Ecotherapy is the practice of inviting nature into the therapy session,as well as engaging with the emotions that arise from ecological issues and interactions. In these times, many are having feelings of stress, anxiety and depression about climate change, extinctions, and the toll of environmental advocacy. I can relate to and support you with these feelings.

If desired, we can meet at a trail and walk or play. Even if we choose to meet inside, I believe that Nature is everywhere: inside of us, on the sidewalk, in the fibers of the couch. To me, being connected to Nature means being connected to life. I want to witness your journey into the unknown and keep you safe along the way.

Animal - Assisted Therapy

I received training in animal-assisted therapy from Firefly Institute in 2021. I have an animal companion, Jeep, that can attend sessions if you are interested. He is high energy and can be somewhat anxious when meeting new people. He is helpful for youth learning about their own ADHD and anxiety. He is also emotionally attuned and can be supportive if you are healing from trauma from other humans or mental health providers.
